We're counting down the days to Regards to Rural. Here is a sneak peek of a goody bag for the conference. We'll see you in a few days in Corvallis!

See You at Regards to Rural!

You can still register for Regards to Rural 2013! If you missed the June 14 online registration deadline, you can still register at the door. The conference will be held Friday and Saturday, June 21 to 22, 2013 at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, with a pre-session by conference keynote speaker, Michael Shuman, on Thursday, June 20. Conference highlights include keynotes from Michael Shuman, author of “Local Dollars, Local Sense,” and Chuck Fluharty, founding director of the Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI), a funders panel, sessions focused on rural wealth creation, economic vitality, food systems, leadership development, entrepreneurship, frontier living, and more, many networking opportunities, and delicious local and seasonal food. Visit the Regards to Rural website for onsite registration times and location and for more information.

Park Enhancement in the Territorial Heartland

Participants of the first cohort of the Ford Institute Leadership Program in Junction City and Harrisburg are in the news! As part of their park enhancement project, participants came together to install a doggie station at Lyle-Day Park on May 4. For more information, visit the Tribune News.
