I joined RDI in August 2011 as an AmeriCorps*VISTA after graduating with my BA in International Studies and Spanish. Most of my work has been focused on building the mentor component of the Pasos al Exito (Steps to Success) program, and I will continue to work with Latino Services as a Regional Program Associate in September 2012. Through RDI, I have had the opportunity to become more familiar with the rural areas and people of the state of Oregon, support a growing group of entrepreneurs, and cultivate diverse community development.
