I grew up in the Willamette Valley and completed my BS from University of Oregon in Planning, Public Policy, and Management. After working in state government for many years, I decided to attend graduate school, moving to Eastern Washington to go to Washington State University in Spokane and complete a MA in Interior Design, with research emphasis in the design of historic structures within Main Street™ commercial districts; Main Street™ is a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation focused on economic development as a tool for historic preservation.
