Ivory W. Lyles

As vice provost for extension and engagement and director of the OSU Extension Service, Dr. Ivory W. Lyles provides leadership and oversight of Oregon State University’s nationally regarded extension and engagement programs, including faculty, staff, and offices in every county in the state. Lyles works to create opportunities for extension experts to engage with business people, growers, foresters, youth, and community leaders across Oregon, and to focus inquiry and teaching on issues important to Oregon communities. He has served as director of University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and associate dean for engagement in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at UNR; dean and director of Land Grant Programs at Alcorn State University; and director of the Cooperative Extension Service and associate vice president of agriculture at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock. He holds a doctorate in agricultural education, community, and rural development from The Ohio State University.
