Amy Tracewell

Amy Tracewell is a dedicated nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, communications, and community development. A senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon, Amy is deeply committed to supporting rural communities and fostering leadership that drives meaningful change.

Amy currently serves as the director of the Master of Nonprofit Leadership (MNL) program at Pacific University, where she empowers the next generation of nonprofit leaders through education and mentorship. Before stepping into this role, she spent seven years with Pacific University’s advancement team, specializing in major gifts and corporate and foundation relations.

Her career also includes serving as director of communications and advancement for the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and as executive director of PeaceHealth’s Cottage Grove Community Hospital Foundation. In these roles, Amy developed innovative strategies, including a successful community-based fundraising model that continues to inspire sustainable growth in the nonprofit sector.

Amy is an active community leader and serves on the executive committee of Rural Development Initiatives (RDI). She is a past president of both the Rotary Club of Forest Grove and the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove. Her other civic contributions include serving on the Hillsboro Schools Foundation and the City of Forest Grove’s Public Arts Commission.

Her accomplishments have been recognized through the Ford Family Foundation Community Fellowship Award and leadership training programs with the Ford Foundation and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s Madison Institute.

Amy holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Oregon State University. She brings a lifelong passion for creating resilient, thriving communities to her work with RDI and beyond.
