Rural Youth Leaders Program

The purpose of RDI’s Rural Youth Leaders Program is to empower youth and provide an opportunity for them to learn how to make things happen, express themselves, connect to their community, and become more invested in its future.  Training Highlights Include:

  • Communication & Conflict
  • Group Decision-Making Tools
  • Working Across Differences
  • Project Prioritization, Planning, & Implementation

The Rural Youth Leaders Program kicked off in Sweet Home, Oregon, in early 2021. Fourteen youth attendees are participating in nine sessions and will work together on a community project. Thanks to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam and the City of Sweet Home, Oregon, for their generous support of this program.
