Marci Miller
I am currently the Program Manager for the highly participatory, community-led USDA Rural Development Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge awarded to RDI in Othello, WA. I have worked as a project manager for the Western Community Assessment Network (WeCAN) since 2019 under the direction of Dr. Lorie Higgins, Community Extension Specialist at the University of Idaho. I have assisted IRP and MEDA with the keystone community review process in both Idaho and Montana. The community review process uses asset-based community development strategies and skills and adamantly supports community-led participation. As a convener of the Peer Learning Network, Community Bootcamp, and Solutions Roundtables for Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming rural communities, I am well versed in rural Idaho topics and issues. Outside of work I enjoy working outside on my farm, community activities with my daughter and husband, whitewater rafting, camping, and hot springs.
