Mike McLaughlin, the mayor of Vale, is active on many committees and boards, including Regional Solutions for Eastern Oregon. He is a participant in the Vale Ford Institute Leadership Program cohort and a participant of the Western Treasure Valley HomeTown Competitiveness program. He holds a B.S. in Social Science from Portland State University. Mike has coached baseball for over 11 years, running free camps for baseball foundational skill. His experience with youth development, sports, and mentoring is a great resource for area youth. His understanding of sustainable government practices, and connection with people from all corners of Oregon, gives him an insight into what Oregon needs and has to offer its citizens.
