Now in its 3rd year, the idea for Oregon’s North Coast Food Trail started with a culinary/agritourism workshop and moved forward with feasibility studies, marketing classes, and networking events. At the same time, Port of Garibaldi, Columbia Pacific Economic Development District, RDI, and Ecotrust worked together to develop the Garibaldi Seafood Initiative Value Chain Assessment, which focused on ways to build economic stability for small commercial fisheries. Highlighting the bounty of Oregon’s North Coast and focused on a strong food economy, the North Coast Food Trail has now been recognized as the best food trip on the West Coast.
