RDI, the City of Woodburn, and the North Marion Business Development Partnership have been working to support and strengthen small businesses and entrepreneurs in this nine-city region that has unique assets, diverse people, and a variety of small businesses. As part of their efforts, the partnership conducted a business needs assessment, helped create a county business service provider directory, created a website to connect resources and businesses, and planned and held two small business resource fairs in Brooks and Woodburn.

The resource fairs were a success with a variety of service providers and nearly 60 business owners and entrepreneurs in attendance. These family-friendly summits provided resources and information for businesses and networking opportunities in a community-based atmosphere.
