Transforming & Revitalizing Rural Main Streets

RDI, in partnership with Oregon, Washington, and Idaho State Main Street coordinating programs, and funded in part by USDA Rural Development, delivers Main Street Economic Vitality Hub training and technical assistance to rural communities. The program aims to bring together a network of Main Street leaders to build fundamental skills for economic recovery and resiliency through a series of workshops, trainings, ongoing coaching, and technical assistance.

“This was a much needed and well implemented program. RDI did a great job not only helping our community but the surrounding Main Street efforts as well.” – Timothy Bishop, City of La Grande

Since 2020, RDI has worked with seven regional hubs in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and we are beginning to work with four new hubs in early 2023. Below are a few highlights from rural communities whose tireless work and inspiring and creative efforts are contributing to the vibrancy of their downtowns.
